Study in the States and Other New Courses for 2015!

ANNOUNCING THE 2015 STUDY IN THE STATES COURSES!

The Lee Honors College takes students around the nation for a summer learning experience outside the classroom – for just the cost of tuition! All other expenses, including travel, lodging, meals and admissions are covered by the Lee Honors College. Each instructor will announce pre-trip meetings.

*The Texas Tour: Travel to Austin, Houston and San Antonio with Derrick McIver from Management to study corporate culture (May 2 to May 9, 2015). (General Education Area V).

*Garbage in Gotham: What Makes the Big Apple Sustainable? Travel to New York City with Sarah Hill from Anthropology and Environmental & Sustainability Studies (May 7 to 16, 2015). (General Education Area VII).

*Oshkosh AirVentures: Travel to Oshkosh, WI with Terry Michmerhuizen from Aviation to attend the experimental airshow (July 20 to July 26, 2015). (General Education Area VII, pending approval).

*Entrepreneurship: Understanding Startup Communities: Travel to Austin, TX and Boulder, CO during spring break (March 6 to 15, 2015) with John Mueller from Management. Students will also visit Grand Rapids, Detroit and Chicago for day trips during the spring semester. (Class will meet Fridays, 2 to 4:30 p.m., Jan. 12 to May 2, 2015, with two all day trips on Feb 6 and Feb. 20, 2015).

*Disney Pilgrimage: Travel with alumnus Christopher Tremblay, beginning in Chicago at the birthplace of Walt Disney and ending in California at his gravesite to explore his legacy (July 7 to 15, 2015). (General Education Area III, pending approval).
