Week of Sept. 14

Welcome to a new week, Broncos!

The Lee Honors College has been featured on the Public University Honors site, a site devoted entirely to the evaluation and discussion of public university honors programs and public honors colleges. Read our feature, “Lee Honors College at Western Michigan: A Strong Combination of Classroom and Experiential Learning.”

Make sure that you visit each tab this week; we have posted a lot of great opportunities for community service, internships, and wonderful events throughout campus.

The Fall 2015 Lyceum Lecture series, “Imagine a World Without Sexual and Gender-based Violence!” is sponsored by the Lee Honors College as a companion to the Raise Your Voice series. The Lyceum Lecture series kicks off this week with Dr. Joetta Carr discussing “Origins of Gendered Violence in the Patriarchy” on Wednesday.

The honors college is also hosting our weekly Mix It Up! on Thursday, which is a Dinner with the Deans discussing Study Abroad. This Mix It Up! DOES require an RSVP, so please send an email to Tre Thomas at honr-grad@wmich.edu if you plan to attend.

Visit the Honors College Sponsored Events tab to learn more about these and other honors college events throughout the semester.

As always, feel free to reach out to us with any questions, comments or concerns.
