What do Bigs do? Mentor a Kalamazoo high school student that is bused to campus twice a month. Get active in the Big Brothers Big Sisters RSO as a leader or member; either way you gain valuable leadership skills while sharing your skills and talents.

Otsego Robotics Team

Volunteers needed for the October 14 Engineering Expo to assist with set-up, employer assistance and breakdown. It’s a great way to earn some community service hours and get a unique opportunity to spend a few extra moments chatting with employers before the event.
Tuesday, October 13, 2 to 5 p.m. (any time between these hours): Expo set-up, main lobby (1st and 2nd floors), set-up & arrange tables and chairs.
Wednesday, October 14, 8 to 10 a.m.: Help employers unload their belongings and find their expo table.
Wednesday, October 14, 3 to 5 p.m.: Expo breakdown on both floors; fold up tables and chairs, gather tablecloths and return the lobby to order.

High School Tutor Needed
A local 11th-grader is looking for a volunteer tutor for Algebra II and Chemistry coursework. The student wants to be tutored and strives for academic success, but being patient and not critical is important. Interested students should email Ms. Jones, the student’s mother, at email@example.com.

Gibbs House Permaculture Research and Demonstration Site
The Gibbs House is an emerging program run by the Office for Sustainability that serves as a living laboratory for students to implement their sustainable design solutions and projects.
