Communities in Schools of Kalamazoo is looking to fill 17 paid positions. The CIS program is looking for WMU students who have successfully completed Algebra I (or higher) with an A or BA who are interested in providing tutoring assistance to freshman Algebra I students in the Kalamazoo high schools. Tutors will be in the classrooms working with students one-on-one and in small groups, in collaboration with the math teacher. Position is for 5-10 hours per week, during high school hours (7:33 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.), and pays $11 per hour. You must have reliable transportation to get you to and from the school.
