Paid, on-campus tutoring opportunity with Athletics
The Athletic Academic Services Office has openings for tutors to work in conjunction with the Athletic Department Study Table program. Tutors must have achieved at least sophomore classification by University standards and be willing to work one or two nights per week. Additional hours may be arranged upon demand.
Times needed: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Read Field House
Subjects needed: Math (Pre-Calculus, Calculus); Statistics; Pre-Business (Accounting, Economics); Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics); Criminal Justice
Pay Rate: Undergraduate – $9.04 per hour; Graduate – $13.56 per hour

Communities in Schools of Kalamazoo
The CIS program is looking for WMU students who have successfully completed Algebra I (or higher) with an A or BA who are interested in providing tutoring assistance to freshman Algebra I students in the Kalamazoo high schools. Tutors will be in the classrooms working with students one-on-one and in small groups, in collaboration with the math teacher. Position is for 5 to 10 hours per week, during high school hours (7:33 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.), and pays $11 per hour. You must have reliable transportation to get you to and from the school.
