Volunteer at Kleinstuck Preserve
Join honors students in maintaining WMU’s Kleinstuck Preserve.
On Nov. 8 from 2 to 4 p.m., volunteers will meet to remove invasive species and learn more about this valuable natural area. Rides will be provided but spaces are limited. If you would like to attend the event, need a ride or want to know more information, email Monique Pipkin by Nov. 2 at monique.a.pipkin@wmich.edu.

Halloween Fun Fest
Location: Woodward Elementary,606 Stuart Ave.
Date: Thursday, Oct. 29
Time: 5:30 p.m. (arrival time) to 6:45 p.m.
Volunteers needed: 5-10
Tasks: Greeting families at the event and running table games in the gym

Taste of El Sol
Location: El Sol Elementary, 604 W. Vine St.
Date: Thursday, Nov. 5
Time: 5 p.m. (arrival time) to 8 p.m.
Volunteers needed: 6
Tasks: Volunteers assist with set up, selling tickets and clean up after the event
Event information: Families bring tasty food from cuisines around the globe to sell at this annual event.

High School Tutor Needed
A local 11th-grader is looking for a volunteer tutor for Algebra II and Chemistry coursework. The student wants to be tutored and strives for academic success, but being patient and not critical is important. Interested students should email Ms. Jones, the student’s mother, at adiah.jones317@gmail.com.
