If you’re looking for an off-campus opportunity, Volunteer Kalamazoo is always a wonderful resource.

High School Tutor Needed

A local 11th-grader is looking for a volunteer tutor for Algebra II and Chemistry coursework. The student wants to be tutored and strives for academic success, but being patient and not critical is important. Interested students should email Ms. Jones, the student’s mother, at adiah.jones317@gmail.com.

The following opportunities are still available:

Kalamazoo Drop-In Child Care Center (KDCCC)

The KDCCC is a non-profit organization that offers free, part-time childcare for income eligible families. KDCCC gives parents time to search for employment or housing, keep necessary appointments, go to school, or take a healthy break from the demands of parenting. Volunteers assist the staff in the daily operation of the childcare and are needed to allow KDCCC to operate up to our full capacity. The Kalamazoo Drop-In Child Care Center is located in the basement of the First Congregational Church, UCC at 345 W. Michigan Ave., right on the corner of Park St. and Michigan Ave. Learn more with this flier.
