Win tickets to “An Evening with Neil deGrasse Tyson” – DEADLINE APPROACHING
Do you love Cosmos? Star Talk? And especially Neil deGrasse Tyson? We are delighted that Miller Auditorium will host “An Evening with Neil deGrasse Tyson” on March 22, at 7:30 p.m. Tyson is a New York Times bestselling author, host of StarTalk Radio and FOX’s Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey and has been a frequent guest on The Daily Show. He is the recipient of 18 honorary doctorate degrees and the NASA Distinguished Public Service Medal.
The Lee Honors College has purchased 15 tickets to “An Evening with Neil deGrasse Tyson” and we plan to give them away to 15 fantastic honors students. If you would like to be the proud owner of one of these tickets, we ask that you submit a brief essay (300 words or less) telling us why you would like to spend March 22 listening to Neil deGrasse Tyson. Please include your name and WIN on your essay as that information will be required to issue tickets to the winners. Essays should be emailed to the Lee Honors College Dean (firstname.lastname@example.org) no later than midnight, Friday, Feb. 5. Winners will be notified via email, announced in the weekly newsletter and will be posted on the Lee Honors College Facebook page.
Student Health Advisory Council
Sindecuse Health Center is pleased to announce they are now accepting applications to join the Student Health Advisory Council for the 2016-17 school year. For more information see the attached flier or go to: http://www.wmich.edu/healthcenter/advisory. All application materials due Feb. 5.
The Student Health Advisory Council is a student-led group, facilitated by Sindecuse staff. Any WMU undergraduate or graduate students in good academic standing who have an interest in health issues or are pursuing a career in health-related fields are invited to join.
