High School to Health Career Mentor Program
Western Regional Area Health Education Center is seeking honors college mentors for their High School to Health Career Mentor Program. Mentors are matched with a VanBuren County student interested in a health career. This program begins in November and runs through April 2017. Discussion outlines are provided for every meeting. Mentors are required to travel to Lawrence just three times. The remaining meetings may be held remotely via phone, email, Skype or Google Hangout. Communities in Schools:
Communities in Schools of Kalamazoo has opportunities for honors students to complete volunteer hours. CIS works with the Kalamazoo Public Schools, and provides the necessary academic and basic needs services to help students succeed. Disability Services for Students:
Disability Services for Students is looking for volunteers willing to drive the “Gator” and transport students with temporary mobility conditions, such as broken legs. Volunteers must have a good driving record, a valid driver’s license and attend a brief training. Any student, staff or faculty member may volunteer to drive.
