2017 Michigan Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters Annual Meeting:
The Michigan Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters (MASAL) is a regional, interdisciplinary professional organization that facilitates scholarly exchange through annual meetings and a quarterly journal of outstanding papers in the sciences, humanities and social sciences. The Academy’s primary activities are an annual conference and an academic journal, the Michigan Academician. MASAL embraces a well-rounded mix of faculty, graduate students and undergraduate students face-to-face for a leisurely day of exchange. Given WMU’s commitment to being a dynamic, student-centered research university, MASAL offers an accessible low-cost venue for graduate and undergraduate students to present papers and to interact with faculty.
Paper and Poster Submissions: Oct. 16 to Dec. 9. The Lee Honors College will cover the registration costs for up to 10 honors students if they are selected to present.
