New this Week – Week of Oct. 31

With the first week of November upon us, Daylight Saving Time comes to an end. Get ready to fall back — and have a sunnier morning commute to and around campus! Remember to set your clocks back an hour Sunday, Nov. 6! As always, Daylight Saving Time is a good time to remember to replace the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors with fresh ones. Safety first!

Wondering how to spend your bonus hour on Nov. 6? The easiest answer is to take full advantage of Sunday morning and stay in bed a bit longer — rewatch your favorite episode of Grey’s Anatomy on Netflix, or better yet – spend a few extra minutes catching up on the honors college newsletter (you won’t regret it, we promise).

Metropolitan Series – Chicago Bus Trip Update
At this time, the bus for the Metropolitan Series –Chicago trip is full. The waiting list is relatively long and we encourage those interested in going to Chicago to wait as we plan a second excursion for the spring semester. The next bus trip will be open to all honors students, with priority given to those on the waiting list in November. It will include a museum tour and free time to explore the city. Please stay tuned for the details, as our goal is to provide this opportunity to as many students as possible.

Reminder for Nov. 5 Chicago bus tripIf you fail to show up without prior notice, your student account will be charged $50.00. The only acceptable excuse for not showing up without prior notice would include documented medical emergencies, hospitalization or family crises. It is very important to remain accountable for your involvement with this trip. If for any reason you will not be able to make it, please email: as soon as possible.
