Hello, Broncos! We hope you had a great first week of classes and stayed dry and warm with this crazy Michigan weather.
The Lee Honors College Lounge
Due to Medallion finalist interviews, the honors college lounge will be unavailable Jan. 18 and 19 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. The Lyceum Lecture scheduled for noon on Wednesday will still take place in the lounge.
“Writings on the Wall”
The honors college is working alongside the Kalamazoo Public Library, the WMU Alpha Program, University Libraries, and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion in presenting the 2017 “Read Together” book Writings on the Wall by Kareem Abdul Jabbar. We invite you to be a part of the conversation on “searching for a new equality beyond black and white.” Events will be scheduled throughout the Kalamazoo community. The honors college has five copies of the book that we would like to offer to you on loan. If you’d like to read it and join us for an event to add your voice to the discussion, please stop by the front desk and check one out. We ask that you not keep the book for longer than 10 days, so that as many of our honors college community can read it as possible. If you have ideas about what you’d like the honors college to address at our event after reading it, please contact Jane Baas or Jennifer Townsend via email by Jan. 20, 2017.
Test Prep Books Available
Are you studying for the LSAT, GMAT, GRE or MCAT? The honors college has purchased test prep books for each of these exams. If you are interested in checking one of these books out, please visit the front desk and be prepared to show your Bronco Card and provide your email address and phone number. Test prep books can be checked out for one week at a time.
