Opportunities abound for honors students to apply for merit-based scholarships through the Lee Honors College, Western Michigan University’s Office of Financial Aid, several WMU academic colleges, the Office of the Vice President for Research and through national and international organizations. Awards may assist with research and creative activities, professional travel, study abroad and other projects and opportunities. A few scholarships are highlighted below. WMU Endowed Scholarships
These awards are made possible through endowments established by WMU’s many generous donors over the years. Criteria and amounts vary by scholarship. An application is required for most scholarships. Look at each scholarship for specific details, deadlines and applications. The deadline for some endowed scholarships for 2016-17 is Feb. 15. For more information, click here.
2017-18 FAFSA All students should complete their 2017-18 FAFSA online at fafsa.ed.gov. There is no cutoff deadline, but some funds are awarded until they are gone. March 1 is the priority deadline.
