With February being Black History Month, the Lee Honors College continues to highlight significant historical events that give insight into the culture and plight of African Americans and why this month is important. This week we encourage you to explore a rich resource courtesy of “Diverse Issues in Higher Education” at the link below, including:
“Keeping Black History Alive for Future Generations,” by James B. Ewers, Jr.
“The Continued Undermining of Black History,” by Elwood Watson
“Our Struggle to Overcome Must Begin with You and Me,” by James B. Ewers, Jr.
As always, we have some wonderful opportunities specifically geared toward honors students, so be sure to check them out!
